A perm is a method that changes the texture of the hair by winding it into curls or waves using tools such as a perming rod or rollers. Two chemical solutions are then added to the hair in order to create the perm. The first solution that is added to the hair is a waving lotion which softens the hair in order to shape it to the perming rod or roller. This is followed by adding a neutraliser which reforms the bonds in the hair and hardens it to hold the shape, which creates the permanent (perm) curl or wave which remains even after washing.

Directions

1. Shampoo and place perming rods into hair.
2. Apply waving lotion
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Neutralise and rinse.
